Jeff Genzler and Doug Johns visit Fretz Music

We were honored recently with a surprise visit from the man himself, Mr. Jeff Genzler, the Founder and Builder of Genz-Benz Amps. The amp many Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artists, and Fretz Music Center employees use! Jeff was here to tell us all about the new Streamliner Series of Bass amps. You can talk about it all you want but unless you can hear it???...so along with him he brought Doug Johns to demonstrate, the man about whom Bass Player Magazine says "Doug Johns continues to make a case for himself as one of the most credit-deserving bass virtuosos in America". You have to check out some of his videos on YouTube to appreciate his exceptional playing and also check out his web site, www.dougjohns.com. We had the distinct pleasure of having him entertain us for a solid hour with his amazingly funky stylings. Oh yeah, the amp sounds amazing also!

Lanikai Ukuleles!

Lanikai Ukuleles are the best sounding, easiest playing instruments we have found. Starting at under $50.00, it's easy for you to join in the fun. If you already play guitar, you know all the chords on ukulele. It works like this: think of the uke as the top 4 strings on a guitar with a capo on the 5th fret. In other words a 4 string G chord on a guitar becomes a C chord on a uke (except on a Baritone Ukulele, in which case it remains a G chord!), a 4 string D chord on guitar becomes a G on uke, and so on.
